At Body Align Physio we are dedicated to helping women of all ages achieve their optimum physical function and improve their quality of life.

While pregnancy is such an exciting journey to be on, sometimes there’s some changes happening in your body that aren’t so exciting. If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort in your pelvis or lower back, we can help you through targeted Physiotherapy treatment and exercise. We can also assist you with exercises that are pelvic floor safe, keep you active and healthy during each stage of pregnancy, and reduce the risk of complications or injury.

After you’ve had bub, you’ll be busy looking after you new little addition and bonding as a family. However, this is one of the most important times to look after yourself and invest in recovery. Our specialised women’s health physiotherapists will work with you to rehabilitate your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and guide you back into a safe and specific exercise routine.

Whether you need assistance with pelvic or back pain, pelvic floor weakness, regaining continence after a vaginal delivery, having pain-free sexual intercourse, or physically preparing for or recovering from labour, we use our specialised training to identify all of the factors contributing to the problem and create a specific and holistic solution to help achieve your goals.

PREGNANCY OR POSTNATAL PILATES

Want to stay active during your pregnancy or use Pilates to build strength post-partum? We welcome you to join our Pilates classes.

Staying active and becoming involved in regular exercise in pregnancy and during the post-natal period offers a great deal of benefits. Our equipment, reformer or mat Pilates classes will help you to keep healthy and strong throughout your pregnancy and ease you back into exercise following the birth of your baby and beyond.

Pregnant? Prior to the commencement of these classes please complete a 30 minute initial consult with one of the physiotherapists who can assess your posture, pelvic floor muscles and screen for modifications in class.

Post-partum? In order to begin these classes we recommend a 6 week postpartum review with a Women’s Health Physiotherapist where they can use real time ultrasound to assess pelvic floor.

Pre/Postnatal Exercise Classes: Monday 11:30am and Wednesday 11am.

Please contact the clinic for more info on how to join a class.
